Didn’t get much sleep last night, the low thrumming of the generator next door was noticeable even with the window closed, so I laying in bed still trying to get some rest when I notice the ceiling fan turning.

Mainline power was back! So went ahead and move everything from the cord from the generator (which was off) back to the wall outlets. Walking back to the other side of the house I learn that the generator’s oil plug had somehow worked loose and the motor had seized up.

So Dad had went out and got a new generator and was working on getting it setup and ready to use, when the power came back. It is 20 years newer than the old one, larger gas tank and should be be quieter also.

So life has gone back to normal us, and I hope the same for the others effected by yesterdays storms.
